Review: Peg Perego’s Primo Viaggio 30-30

There’s no shortage of car seats on the market. From affordable to expensive, sifting your way through the choices can be overwhelming.

But if you’re on the hunt for a seat that will ease even a new parent’s biggest fears, then we’ve already found the answer for you in Peg Perego‘s Primo Viaggio 30-30 ($270).

Loved by celebs including Ricky Martin and Victoria Beckham, the chic car seat does not disappoint when it comes to safety or style.

Check out our review below!

Things We Like: Happy baby, happy mama. With soft fabrics available in a variety of oh-so cool colors — including the extra cozy removable cushion for newborns — your little one is likely to drift off to dreamland even before the car starts moving.

But we know what you’re thinking: Cozy fabrics in the hot summer months? Thanks to their cool (literally!) Confort dry headrest, your baby won’t have to suffer from the stifling heat. The microfiber cloth not only allows for plenty of ventilation, but it keeps moisture out, too.

Plus, of course, the car seat comes with all the safety features (five-point harness, side impact protection, and a convenient level that shows you the correct angle for your seat) you could possibly imagine to keep your mind at ease when you hit the road with your most precious cargo.

Added bonuses for this top-notch seat include the extra large sun canopy that easily protects your babe from the sun’s rays (or rain or snow!) while outside and the easy latch system base.

Things We Didn’t Like: Our only complaint? Carrying the Primo Viaggio is a workout in and of itself. At 11 pounds, the seat isn’t easy to hoist in and out of the car on a regular basis. And add a growing baby (up to 30 pounds!) to the mix and your load just got a whole lot heavier.

But, we have to say, that if the added weight ensures a safer ride, we’re all for buffing up our biceps for baby’s well-being.

Moms & Babies Rating: If you’re looking for the best of the best when it comes to car seats (and you’re willing to dish out the dough, too!), then you’ve found your answer in Peg Perego’s Primo Viaggio 30-30. From the superb safety features to the sleek design, you — and baby — will be ready for the road.
