Join Children's Alliance staff and state legislators at the annual membership meeting on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 9 a.m. at the Northwest African American Museum, located at 2300 S. Massachusetts St. in Seattle. This free event features an interactive discussion with state legislators who are making decisions that affect the lives of Washington’s children and families.
The Children’s Alliance will offer a light breakfast, an introduction and update on their work for new and returning members, some thoughts to inspire advocacy, as well as an opportunity for parents to share feedback about their work in the community and to direct questions to attending legislators.
Guests are welcome to visit the beautiful and thought-provoking exhibits of the Northwest African American Museum, featuring the stories, crafts, arts, music, history and literature of the vibrant Pacific Northwest African American community.
There is no charge for this event. To learn more, visit the Children’s Alliance website. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP online.
