bethenny frankelI know Bethenny Frankel is known for being totally up front about everything in her life, but people need to stop asking her when she's having another baby.

Bethenny opens up about her miscarriage in the July issue of Glamour. She says she knew from the start that her pregnancy was considered "high risk" and she took that very seriously. Still, she blamed herself when she miscarried at eight weeks and her doctor had to reassure her that it wasn't her fault. She was over 40, and she'd had complications with her other pregnancy.

So is she going to try again? Stop asking that question! Here's what she has to say about it.

People ask me, ‘Are you going to have another baby?’ and I get a little angry. I know my shtick is being an open book, but when you ask a woman in her forties that question, it’s not always her choice. I’m healthy and could try again. But I don’t want to be a ‘trying’ person. If it’s meant to be, it will happen.

Ugh, you just don't ask a woman in her forties THAT question. Jeebus, who are these people who need to know if Bethenny Frankel is trying to have another baby? Do they really not understand how the female reproductive system changes over time?

I don't blame her for being angry. First of all, she just had a miscarriage. If you really do want to "try again" you still have to give your body time to heal. A miscarriage isn't traumatic for every woman, but it definitely is for many women. But most of all, having another baby is not something that's under Bethenny's control, and that can be very painful and difficult.

Not to mention -- maybe she doesn't want to have another baby, period. Maybe she's done.

Bethenny says her husband Jason wants another baby (easy for him to say) but she tells him, "There are a lot of things he gets by being with me — adventure, excitement, passion. But he doesn't get the two kids. Or maybe he will." Well, she's not ruling it out yet. But she's not making any promises, either.

Do you think it's rude to ask a woman in her forties if she's trying to have another baby?
