Congratulations Doodle 4 Google State Winner and Finalists

As a supporter of Google's annual “Doodle 4 Google” student design competition, Pacific Science Center is hosting an exhibit featuring the state finalists' artwork, which will be on display through July 22 in the Ackerley Family Exhibit Gallery (accessible after paying regular admission into the Science Center)

Doodle 4 Google invites students across the United States to redesign the company's logo based on a theme for a chance to win a $30,000 college scholarship and $50,000 technology grant for their school.

Congratulations to the state winner and state finalists:

  • State winner: Samantha C., 11, from Kenmore
  • State finalists: Jahnvi M., 10, from Bellevue; Heidi R., 18, from Silverlake; Clara T., 12, from Sammamish; and Kaden D., 7, from Redmond

Doodle 4 Google is one of several efforts by Google to encourage and celebrate the creativity of young people by asking students to create their own Google doodle. The theme this year is, "If I could travel in time, I'd visit..." A team of guest judges, including Katy Perry, Phineas and Ferb creator and executive producer Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, and recording artist Jordin Sparks, helped choose the top doodles.
