Woodland Park Zoo invites you to deck your strollers with holiday lights, ornaments and boughs of holly and join in the Illuminated Stroller Parade during WildLights on Friday, Dec. 14, at 6:45 p.m. Participation is free with WildlLights admission ($9.50 for adults, $6.50 for children ages 3 to 12 and free for toddlers 2 and younger).
Bring a stroller, wagon or other kiddie conveyance to WildLights adorned in festive seasonal decorations. Parade assembly begins at 5:30 p.m. at the tables and tents near the Historic Carousel. The Illuminated Stroller Parade will begin promptly at 6:45 p.m. and make its way to Snowmazium (Zoomazium). Directly after the parade a faux snowball fight will ensue.
Other WildLights highlights include an ice sculptor, visiting reindeer, the Historic Carousel (additional fee), strolling carolers and festive refreshments for purchase. Following the stroller parade, gather up the kids and enjoy Art Up & Chow Down in PhinneyWood for a family-friendly after-party. Visit art galleries, retail boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops throughout the neighborhood exhibiting work from local artists.
Urban Light Studios is one of the neighborhood headquarters for the monthly Art Walk and will be offering a stroller valet inside its main space from 6 to 8 p.m. Kids will receive complimentary sweet treats and Urban Light Studio’s lion, Lamar, will be festively dressed for holiday photos. Bring your own camera.
Tickets to WildLights are available online at www.zoo.org/wildlights. Night-of-event tickets will be for sale at the zoo’s West Entrance only, if not sold out. To learn more about WildLights, check out our parent review.
