The rate of infant deaths in Nigeria is very high due to infections in the first five years of children, Director of the Citizen's Health and Education Development Initiative (CHEDI), Adolphus Enyioha, has said. Enyioha spoke at a community outreach programme in Kubwa, targeting reduction in malaria, HIV/AIDS as well as maternal and child care. CHEDI also distributed materials to women at the community health centre. The village head of Byazhin, Ahmed Azacheyi, commended the group for the outreach programme.
