Seattle Parks and Recreation is hosting a second community meeting for the renovation of the Woodland Park play area on Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Phinney Neighborhood Association (6532 Phinney Ave. N. in Seattle) in Room 1. The community is encouraged to attend and provide feedback on the schematic designs.
This renovation project, identified in the Parks and Green Spaces Levy, will provide new play equipment, site improvements and access improvements to facilitate use by all users. At this meeting, Parks will present play area design options developed with input from the first meeting held in July and gather further input on the potential plans. The existing play area will be open during the summer 2013, but will be closed during construction in late autumn 2013.
