Angola: Over 3,000 Births Performed Lubango in 2011

Lubango — Some 3,901 births were recorded in 2011 at 47 health centres in Lubango city, southern Huila province, a health source announced.

The head of the local health department, Godfrey Chinga Chumbo, said this number represents an increase of 14 percent in comparison with 2010.

The source also said that 8,037 talks took place to sensitise people about matters of family planning, basic sanitation, importance of breast feeding and other tools for the community's well-being.
